Scott & Randy

FOE Entertainment was formed in September, 2001 by Scott Bryner and Randall Gifford after a chance meeting on the campus of the American Film Institute. It is our goal to produce compelling feature-film entertainment products while keeping production costs at a minimum. To this goal, we intend to tap into the always growing population of talented actors in Hollywood who, despite their talent, have not been recognized by the studio system. Our first feature, the award-winning "The Second Degree," stands as a testament to what people can accomplish when everyone comes together in a project, lending their skills and talents to create something greater than the anyone could have created alone.

FOE Entertainment is a true independent production company with the production of The Second Degree being wholly internally financed and produced. It is our goal to blend our expertise in filmmaking and technology to create entertainment products more efficiently than was possible before.

By combining our knowledge of the workings of the Entertainment Industry with our experience in technology and shrewd, real world business sense, we have proven that we can produce products for this industry, better, cheaper, faster. If it's good enough for NASA, it's good enough for us!

Are you accepting headshots?
Not at this time.

Traditionally, we only accept headshots and resumes for projects that are currently in production. For such future events, announcements will be made on this site and an open call will be advertised in various industry publications. This is in addition to our dealings with industry agents, as we see fit.

Are you accepting script or story submissions?
Unfortunately, because of legal reasons, we cannot accept submissions of any kind right now. Please do NOT send us scripts, story ideas, or any other kind of submission.

Thank you very much for thinking of us, but our lawyers insist that any submissions be ignored and immediately disposed of, which is what we must do.

That said, we are planning to host another screenwriting competition in the near future. But, until then, keep working on those scripts!

How can I become involved in FOE?
We get asked this one a lot!

And because we get so much interest in our work and people wanting to be a part of FOE, we are currently developing an online database that will list people available to work as cast and crew for the world of indie films. Stay tuned to find out how to sign up!

Why FOE and not Faux?
Our humor is not that intelligent.

Lastly, who designed your website?
The FOE website was designed by filmmaker and fellow FOE member Ernie Pena. An avid film buff and consumer of sushi, Ernie worked with Scott at the Walt Disney Company, and during production of The Second Degree served as Boom Operator, Sound Mixer, Electrical Grip, EPK Photographer, and Editor. When he's not working as a PA or struggling with his screenwriting, you can find him pretending to be a web designer. His website is here.
